Network adaptor not working when "instant-on" power mode enabled upon boot.

For what it's worth, PS4 will wake from sleep no problem on the same wifi. It's funny. After getting wifi to work again on xb1, upon a power off in instant on mode, it wont wake from the windows 10 app, and wont be connected to wifi again.. ugh.

Hi Porsched, Thanks for the reporting. Can you tell us what version of the app your using? Also have you tried using the Xbox App (Beta) to see if your able to repro the same issue? You can DL the app located here:
www.microsoft.com/.../9NBLGGH1J27H or your can go to the Store app, search for “Xbox beta” and it will show up as a search result.

Hi Porsched, I experience this as well using the updated beta app. How do you have your xbox configured over wifi? Are you just using standard dhcp? Have you tried using a static IP for the xbox?

 

I've tried static, changing the mac address, enabling WOL on my router with the XB1 mac address. This happens with the regular xbox app and the beta app. I'm having more of an issue further than this as well so it may very well be because of a hardware fault.
More of my issue is Xbox wifi will not see any ssid nor connect to the wifi upon instant on boot. Will not work again until fully restarted. Problem goes away when I enable power save mode.

Note: this is directly console related and has nothing to do with any of my network hardware, as xb1 does not see any SSID at all, not even neighbors. It will show me the yellow connect to xbox live message on the main page, but if I go into the network
settings, it'll show WIFI status as "getting info", and it will not respond to "Go offline" or "Disconnect wireless" options. When I go into "test network" it'll show a screen that there's an issue, and offers to restart wireless. This will fix the issue
and it will be connected to my SSID again after. The only other fix was to completely restart the console. Any ideas?
