    Xbox one won’t update to new os in insiders program


    I recent turned on my Xbox to play and was greeted with an update 3.8gb in size. When trying to update it almost instantly goes to a screen “there was a problem with the update” I clicked try again a few times with no success except occasionally it will skip the download portion and move to verifying the update then restarting the console to the state I started at where it told me there was an update. This is an endless loop at this point.

    That version appears to be a Insiders preview OS so OSU's will not help you. You will have to factory refresh the console.

    Scroll down to E106 in this support page, System update solution startup error and follow the steps. If your console is enrolled in a Insider preview, skip the OSU section.

    You can find the latest GA OS version at Whats new xbox one system updates.

    Xbox Insider program FAQ has information on how to unenroll from the program using a PC if you can't start your console.

    Are you currently in the Insider/Preview program, or have recently opted out of it?

    If so, the Xbox is subject to factory resetting itself to new preview updates (if you're still in the program), or the latest public OS release (if you've opted out).

    I just started my process with the Xbox Insider Program and have been reading the subreddit community for this program. It lead me to a page in the link below listing all the releases of the Xbox One X OS. This is where I found the version installed on
    my Xbox released 2/24/2020:

    OS Version: 10.0.18363.9135 (19h1_release_xbox_dev_2002.200219-1515)

    So it appears that this is a public release build and not part of the Insider Program. Am I reading this wrong? I will continue to pursue answers while I await your reply.
