    I'm having trouble with my Xbox One where it won't stay on anymore without both the power box and system shutting off even when plugged in.

    It was yesterday that the problem occurred when I went on YouTube to watch a video on my system when all of a sudden, it shut off on me and would not power back on. Recently, it has down this twice to me but would always turn right back on as if it was restarting
    itself. However, this time, it would not power back on. So I unplugged everything and noticed that the light on the power box was not orange like it would typically be. Mind you, the plug was completely working because my TV is connected too and that comes
    on just find. Long story short, I finally was able to get both the light on the power box to come on again and tried over and over tinkering with it to allow my system to stay on. The longest my system has stayed on for was about three minutes before everything
    went dead again.

    So I followed the reset guide for the power box on a Microsoft page, and it diagnosed the problem as I needed to replace the power supply. Please help me better understand the problem more and my options going forward.

    I’m not going to say yes definitively, but I had those same problems on my original Xbox One console & bought a new power supply and the thing never shuts off randomly anymore.

    There is really no way to know but it could most definitely be a power supply. If you have a friend that has the Xbox One you could borrow their power supply to hopefully confirm whether or not that is the issue.
