Xbox One Won't Recognize Kinect

    Xbox One Won't Recognize Kinect


    I purchased a used Xbox One in November. It is still under warranty until August 2016.

    Once purchased, I wanted a Kinect. I purchased one from eBay from a verified seller with 100% feedback. They were selling a working Kinect. I received it two days later and plugged it in. Nothing. I chatted with support and went through troubleshooting.
    Nothing. Still didn't work. I was told that the Kinect was bad. I went through PayPal and shipped the Kinect back to the seller for a refund.

    Then I purchased a new one..Kinect, I mean.

    I received it two days later and plugged it in. Nothing. Doesn't work. Started another chat with support. We walked through the process of holding down the button on the Xbox to shut it down. Unplugging the Xbox. Waited 5 minutes, Plug the console
    power cable back in, press the Xbox button on your console to power up, scroll left from the Home screen to open the guide, select Settings, selected All settings, selected Kinect & devices, select Kinect, plugged the Kinect sensor into the back of the console
    and wait 5 seconds for the console to recognize it...AND NOTHING. It never even powers on. No light, nothing.

    What do I do now?

    Kinect camera won't scan QR codes.

    My kinect camera won't recognize any QR codes? I just updated my Xbox one maybe that's why, not sure how to fix it. Is anyone else's having this proble?

    Crimson Dragon Voice Commands

    I'm having a problem having the Kinect recognize the word "INVENTORY" in Crimson Dragon. I've tried saying it in an American accent as well as any other way and it just won't recognize it. Any one else have this problem?

    It sounds like there is a manuf defect. needs repairs I am having the same issues.

    Just curious did you try a different USB port? May not help but it is worth a try. Good Luck!

    Issues after today's update (11/23/15)

    Hi there,

    if you have tried all trouble shooting steps mentioned on these links:

    Then the only option left is to have to Kinect sensor repaired like mentioned on the links. You can set up a repair via

    The Kinect sensor itself transmits the commands to power the TV and audio systems on and off and because the sensor isn't working they won't be powered on and off.

    [/quote]This . Just want to add that if you have your GT to be signed with password the kinect will recognize you but won't sign you in.

    Xbox 360 Kinect games can only be played with Kinect on Xbox 360 and it would be recognized if you attempt to plug the Kinect Xbox 360 to the Xbox One.

    I have had this issue as well. I've tried the reboot, unplugging, and even tried a factory reset yesterday.

    Kinect still won't sign me in. It doesn't seem like a hardware issue because if I go to "I wasn't recognized" the kinect will recognize me.

    I regret to say I do not have an Xbox One Kinect. But, this maybe a situation where the Kinect itself needs to be updated, see Update your Kinect sensor at "Your
