    Xbox one wont read MW3 disc cross gen


    Just got mw3 cross gen edition for xbox one. When I put the disc in it dosent even show up on the home screen! I've got enough storage. I've already got warzone 2 downloaded as it is free could this be an issue?

    I have a similar issue but my console is a series x and it read the disc and installed it ok but now it wont it takes about 10 to 20 tries before it reads it and i think its to do with the cross-gen

    There seems to be a problem with some xbox one X and these cross gen discs. If you believe what you read.

    I had three discs from different stores..

    My brother had the same issue.

    The last disc (which wouldn't read on my One X or my original Xbox one) works perfectly fine on my Series X.

    It's not a faulty disc.

    It's older drives and cross gen games.

    My One X played everything else perfectly.

    It's an issue with these cross gen x/s discs..

    Nothing you can say is going to convince me otherwise..

    It actually does. I got the Series X this holiday at $349, and the same disc is working perfectly. I have determined that the Xbox One X disc drive is trying to read Cross Gen discs differently than Xbox One discs. The disc drive on the Series X doesn’t have this issue. You might need a new disc or you might need to send your Series X for maintenance.

    I have the cross-gen bundle of MW3 and can't seem to find the xbox one version. I have a series s so I want to play it off of my external. Where will I be able to find it?

    Aw okay. When I'm looking on the store the only version of MW3 avaliable is the cross-gen bundle. So I'm guessing there's no way to download the Xbox one version of the game on an Xbox series S. It feels a little bit like a scam calling it the Cross-gen bundle, as you would assume you get an xbox one and Series version of the game on purchase.
