Xbox One Wireless headset mutes MW2 lobby

I have a new wireless headset that has a USB attachment that plugs into the Xbox. All of my audio settings are at default. Everytime I enter a new MW2 lobby, everyone is muted. I’ve tried unmuting the lobby in the quick menu setting but the button is stuck, it doesn’t toggle. The only way I’ve found as a work around is to unplug the USB then plug it back in, then everyone becomes unmuted. As soon as I enter the next lobby, it happens again.

That's odd. My suggestion here is to perform a factory reset instead to remove potentially corrupted data on your console and to refresh your system. There's an option to keep your games and apps.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

Hi Mr.!

What exactly is your Xbox console model? And what's your headset make/model?

Does the issue happen to that particular game only, how about the others?

Make sure that your headset firmware is up-to-date and your controller as well.

Then perform a power cycle. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Looks like I have to hard reset everytime I play because everytime I start the game again it keeps doing it.
