XBox One Wireless Adapter Driver (BSOD)

Sadly, the new driver (12/8) didn't fix the issue for me either. I'm on Windows 10, 32-bit as well, running version 1511.

I'm still getting a BSOD after few minutes and then immediately after the reboot that's been caused by the BSOD, if the controller stays connected.

I went to update driver in device manager. Currently have the 11/3/2015 driver. It says I have the most recent. I open Edge and go to the catalog update site you gave us. Surprise surprise: Microsoft Edge can't run that site, has to be IE. I start up
IE, install the plugin the website uses, find the driver and I CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT! website gives error 8DDD0010. Been a patient Microsoft fan for years... starting to lose that patience.

The 12/8/15 driver seems to solve the issue for me. I can finally play with xbox controller wirelessly two months after I bought the adapter. Thanks and keep up the good work.

 

Still having issues... Can send my memery.dmp file to help correct the errors.

(Also have seen a few people with the same problem still on the ambassador's ambassabank)

 

I had similar issues to those in this thread, I've actually fixed my mt7612us bluescreen (bsod) on Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I'm posting this here in the hopes I can help at least one person.

In Device Manager I used the uninstall option on the Xbox Wireless Adapter drive, then pulled the adapter out of the USB port and restarted my computer. I then went to the MediaTek website,

Download the MT7612U driver it's the top option. You'll need supply some data to download. Run the setup program, it will place the latest MT7612U drivers onto your computer, after installation restart the computer.

After this, go to the link provided
catalog.update.microsoft.com/.../Search.aspx and download the Wireless Adapter driver, Generic Controller - Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows driver. The 1.8mb archive is for 64bit (the file itself is labelled AMD64) and the 1.7mb archive is for 32bit.
Extract the driver to a folder.

Go to Device Manager and insert your Xbox Wireless Adapter, find it under Network Adapters. Right click it and select update driver software. Point it to the folder where you extracted the Wireless Adapter driver.

This fixed it for me and it's working great. The vibration feature works too, best of all no bluescreens. Really do hope I've helped rather than just taking up space.

Hi, same issue on Win 10 32 bits (11082). Try all ideas mentionned here.

 

Surface Pro 3 running windows 8.1. Problem solved by using a USB HUB! (i got this

If I plug the adapter directly to the surface pro USB port (or with it extension cable) it will constantly connect/disconnect every 5/10 seconds. Try uninstall/reinstall driver may trigger it to BSOD.

My PC which is also running 8.1 doesn't have any issue at all.

Bought the dongle this week and BSOD mt7612us.sys every time very shortly after starting to stream from XBONE. Controller works perfectly hard wired. The PC is Win 10 32bit. Updated the firmware on the controller, the mediatek update on the PC and the wireless
adapter driver update but still BSOD. It is not interference. The wireless adapter works fine on my other Win 10 PC, which is a 6 month old 64bit machine but I didn't buy it for this one. Not happy!

 

I still have that problem. Can we expect a driver update soon to fix this issue?

 

Are we seriously still waiting for a fix for this failed piece of garbage. First I'm told I have to upgrade to 10 which turns out to be a bold face god *** lie. BTW Windows 10 is garbage for gaming. Now I can't even play a game without getting a blue screen.
Shame on you.

 

It is now almost April and there is still no fix with this device. I have had BSOD issues as described. It seems to happen after 10-20 minutes of use. I have never had a peripheral cause crashes like this. Please let me know when this will be fixed.
