Xbox one wired controller only the actual Xbox button will work. New but I’ve tried...

I’ve tried all of this my controller and console are all updated. I’ve also tried another console it work but shortly after it stopped working I’ve tried the wire too. It is not the controller the paddles work fine but once I play my game with numbers binded to my paddles it makes my Xbox stop registering my paddles with binded to numbers and letters it only works when binded to buttons

Try to update your controller if you can on your Xbox or better yet on PC.

Try other controllers if they work or not just to make sure it has nothing to do with the console.

If the controller is still having issues, it could already be a hardware problem and needs repair.

I tried all your suggestions. No luck. Still frozen. The only button that works on the controller once I’ve entered a game mode is the Xbox center button. Should I exchange my physical game to see if a new copy may be better? This is getting really old.

Ok so it’s wired an yes I’ve used it on my older Xbox One original an it worked but now it won’t my mouse works fine. My keyboard turns on an lights up but no buttons register. I’ve tried restarting my Xbox switching usb changing the language of my Xbox nothing works so it would be greatly appreciated if you knew.

It won’t work with my phone/ pc. I tried connecting it to the console with a wire, putting new batteries in, and disconnecting and reconnecting and none of those worked. I’ve tried these methods on both of the controllers
