XBOX One will not update at initial setup

So are you trying to set up your brand new xbox? If so id say that maybe what you need to do is just go back to the store you got it from and return it and get another one. I would also try https://support.xbox.com/ again
to make sure there isnt anything that will help you there.

I am really sorry to hear that your new console is not working, Have you tried a hard reset on the console,? ( Hold down the power button for 10 seconds ) or until the console turns off and then turn the console back on and see if it will update.

If that doesn't work I would suggest seeing if you could do a wired connection if you are not already using one. Usually, that or the USB trick would work but it sounds like the USB update was not successful for you.

Is this the initial setup update? Initial setup needs to be done online.

Same here! This morning I went through the "initial setup" process, then had to update.

Went home for lunch. turned on the Xbox. Same thing. Ran through the "initial setup" process again, and had to update.

You should have the choice to skip those options until you have been brought to the dashboard for the first time.

After doing so, you will need to go to "Xbox go to Settings">Networking>Advance Settings and choose Manual
