XBOX ONE will not read my COD GHOSTS disc

I purchased Ghosts when I got my XBOX ONE console on release day. The disc has been in the console ever since, so it's still brand new. I haven't played it in a long time and today I decided to play it. I knew there would probably be tons of updates.
Unfortunately, it keeps giving me a disc-read error. I ejected the disc multiple times to check to see if somehow it got scratched. It's not scratched. It still looks brand new. I restarted the console multiple times, even unplugged it....same thing.
I restored to factory defaults and that didn't help either. I loaded a regular DVD and it works just fine. Two questions....is there a fix for this, and if not, can I just download the game for free from the Store? I really don't want to have to repurchase
the game. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but I also purchased the Season Pass and only played a few games since the first Map Pack installment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Disc drive help

@Nickthestick87 - Mine does that with one or two of my games (mostly CoD: Ghosts). It normally only takes one or two re-inserts for it to read the disc, so it's really not a huge deal for me. I have to say I am glad I am not the only one having this issue.

 

COD Ghosts

So I bought Ghosts and brand new it wasn't reading on my xbox. I have the white xbox pro. Every other disc I put in works fine and instantly reads besides the multiplayer disc; even the installation disc reads. Yes of course I tried cleaning it, deleting
the cache, installing the installation disc, and on one of the rare occasions that the disc did read installing the game from disc and everything else under the sun, but nothing worked or even helped. Just to double check my friend brought over his disc and
it still wont read it (so it isn't the disc nor my xbox since all other games work fine). Is there any way I just get a download code since there's absolutely no way I can play this unless I go buy a new xbox?

 

You can't download a digital version from the store unfortunately, when you did a factory reset did it allow you to re-install the game from disc or did it not recognise the disc in the drive still?

If it allowed you to install it could be waiting for the latest updates to download and install.

 

Install offline if wired simply unplug Ethernet cable, once installed plug E cable back in and install any updates and DLC, if wireless go to settings/network disable wireless, install game reconnect wireless install updates and DLC good luck.
