    Hi all -

    So I have never put a game in this console before. It is a beta model/dev kit that I have had in my office for sometime. I recently acquired some games and attempted to play them but soon after I inserted them into the console I received the following error
    code...

    Check your disk

    Your disk might be dirty it damaged. Try cleaning it, or choose a different disc. (0x80820003 - 0x35)

    This occurs on all the games I have tried to play, blu ray and audio cds are fine. I browsed the net and noticed people having similar issues and I went through the trouble shooting steps.

    • Removing Xbox Live Profile and signing back in.
    • Power cycling device.
    • Factory reset.
    • Manually downloading current OS version and reinstalling it via USB.
    All of these methods failed to correct the problem. This is clearly frustrating and due to this Xbox One not technically being a retail model I'm not sure what recourse I have.

    Any help or solutions would be most appreciative.

    When the console is turned on, hold the power button on the front of the console for a full 10 seconds to turn it off.

    When it’s off wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on and try again. Hopefully it will work.

    How recently did you buy it? Can you exchange it where you bought it?

    You could try a power cycle on your console by holding the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until turns off. Turn it on and try again.

    Xbox One will not read games.

    Sounds like a faulty disc drive so you would need to send it off for repair which is free if it's still under warranty although i'm not sure how that works with the kind of console you have.

    You can check things here,like warranty,repairs etc.

    It's most likely a faulty Xbox. I would contact support about getting a replacement sent.

    Hi,

    It's not the discs it's your console. If your console can not read DVD movies then it won't read Xbox 360 games either. DVD movie discs use the same type of discs that 360 games use (DVD-9).

    The Xbox One has two lasers to read discs. One for Blu-rays - which Xbox One discs games are made of - and one for reading DVD's and Xbox 360 games.
