Xbox One Warranty Query.

Hi,

I purchased Xbox One from USA yesterday(sort of in the moment thing), and I indent to use it in India (I am travelling short term to US).

What i am a little confused on is if, god forbid, there is some issue with my xbox, is the manufacturer warranty valid from Microsoft India as well?

Or will i need to always carry it yo USA for warranty claims? I am confused if i should keep it.

I plan to order replacement PSU once i reach back.

P.S - Please let me know if i posted at wrong forum, i'll delete and re post in correct one.

I am not pretty sure if Microsoft India will cover the warranty of your console purchased from US since it will be considered as an out-of-region warranty coverage. Only Xbox Support is the one capable of determining if there will be a charge or not. You

If you bough the console in United States and you will probably have to get an adopter so it does not burn up the brick because the voltage is high in India.

Hey mate,

You should be ok, the warranty is on the xbox itself, no matter where you are in the world. If you need to get it repaired, they will just have you send it to the nearest repair center, which in your case would be india So nothing to worry about

Thanks for the response.

I am actually not facing any issues as of now was just considering if i should return the US one and buy in India. It was a in the moment decision at the Microsoft store because a good deal

As far as I know your Warranty is valid from Microsoft in India. It would be nice if you could explain your problem to see if I can help you resolve it without having to sand your xbox to Microsoft.
