    Xbox One upload speed low


    So this is something that has been bothering me for quite a while. I have fiber to the home with something like 1Gbps download and 940 Mbps up.

    I don't get that from the xbox network testing, but I do get 280 Mbps download, but only 27.44 Mbps up.

    Now where it gets interesting is you do an Ookla speed test from Edge on the Xbox, which takes Microsoft servers out of the loop as far as data transfer goes I now get 156 Mbps download and 190 Mbps upload from inside the Xbox edge browser.

    I'm not doing an article and these outside the home bandwidth tests will vary,

    However it looks to me like there is severe bandwidth limiting for the upload speed test server used in Test network speed & statistics. I would not trust it for assessing in home streaming issues.

    Download speed is very low

    It has to be the servers, had isp come check out speeds. Over 300mbs download, 30 upload. Xbox one s is barely getting 30 download, 30 upload hardwired.

    I thought it was the Xbox itself, so I got a one X and speed is still low. So got a powerful console I can't use because download speeds are so low I usually lag out of games

    Many xbox box gamers have this issue, although i thought it was isolated to cox internet. I get all speeds to all devices except xbox one x, and one s. This issue began for myself and many others around the middle of october 2018. I have tried:

    -4 new modem/routers

    -port forwarding

    -enabling dmz

    -turned off firewall for testing

    -new wiring

    and still no change in upload. Latency is good “36”, 0% packet loss, download is 300mb/s, upload is 1.7...

    Usually, the system ( Xbox console ) will provide the info of your connection based on the connection it is getting from the ISP or connection you are using. I suggest to inquire with your ISP if these following ports are all open:

    [*]Port 88 (UDP)
    [*]Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    [*]Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    [*]Port 80 (TCP)
    [*]Port 500 (UDP)
    [*]Port 3544 (UDP)
    [*]Port 4500 (UDP)
    [*]Once they are open, test out your console connection Detailed network.
    [*]I also suggest to use another Xbox console to get more info. To see if the same connection ( slow connection ) will happen to other console
