Xbox One Update Preview Code Issue

Alright, so I got a message from Xbox Live ON 2/25/2014 AT 2:59 PM

It said:

You’re invited to preview Xbox One updates. Redeem this code to download the registration app on your Xbox One, launch the app and follow the instructions to join. Visit Forums.Xbox.com for help. Code: 6RDHM-W66WJ-4PDFM-JKQDY-XXXXX

Message will expire in 30 days



Since I was not close to my Xbox One I went to Xbox.com and clicked on redeem code

I added my code and it was fine.

After that I went to my console, I checked the App List , Game List, Queue List and nothing shows up.



So I went to Xbox Chat Support and this is what I was told

All you need to do is to post in your concern in full details on our Xbox Forums.

The Xbox forums is managed and controlled by our Live Enforcement Team that handles the Xbox One update codes.

And from there, the specified team will immediately respond to you.

To resolve this issue, please do go to Results in Xbox - Microsoft Community and post in your concern there since it will be reviewed by the LIVE Enforcement Team.

This would serve as your reference number as well as a back up information when the LIVE Enforcement team may need it.

I have attached every information needed on your case. And everything is good to go!

So here I am doing as I was told to do, I hope you guys can help me out.

Xbox Live codes not redeeming

While it may be an issue with the preview update, it's more likely a billing issue, as the preview update should affect your ability to redeem the codes here on Xbox.com What's the exact error you're receiving?

 

Xbox One preview update problems!

I have had a similar issue with the Xbox One Preview Update. I received a message through Xbox Live "You are invited to preview Xbox One updates. Use this code to download the registration app. Visit forums.xbox.com for help. Code: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
back on 6/10/2014. I entered the code in and it said my console was registered. I have been talking with a few members of Xbox Support about not getting access to the Preview Updates and the Preview Forums. I was told that they passed me along to the forums
team for the preview forums. Is this something any of you can help me with?

Never mind... finally shows-up alllll the way to the right in MY APPS/APPS (Ready to Install). Click it and it installed

 

Entered the code i received.

Notification came on the screen asking to hold the home button, did that.

It's been on a black screen with the words "Loading. please wait..." for the last 20 minutes.

Tried to get into the update preview forum, However when i click on it, it says "group not found".

I'm not suprised though. If a microsoft website/OS/Console did'nt have bugs i'd think it was apple in fancy dress.

 

Ok, just to update.

I quit the app, re-entered & it started straight away.(Hooray!)

But you have to apply for the update and if you're successfully chosen xbox will send you a message within 48hrs.

I am having the same issue. I have been in a customer service chat for an hour with 0 help. Xbox please send the update over. Thank you!

I'm currently in the same position, the code just will not be accepted. I've tried both online and through the xbox to redeem with no prevail

 

I think I got the solution for this…

This is what I did:

1 Xbox Turn Off > Yes

2 wait for it to turn off.

3 once it’s off, unplug the power from the back of the Xbox

4 count to 10

5 reconnect the power

6 count to 10 again

7 turn on the Xbox by pressing the power button (saying Xbox Turn On, doesn’t work)

8 the xbox will take around 2 – 4 minutes to fully turn on, you will see a delay if your Xbox is supposed to turn your TV and Audio System.

9 Xbox go to my games and apps

10 use Kinect to scroll to the end of the list and there you go, the app is ready to be installed.

It seems like if you are using Instant On, xbox gets a bit dumb and cant read everything from live, or maybe it can but it just wont show it up.

Anyway that’s what I did and it worked. Hope it works for everyone else.

Oh! I have MY solution, only change the Language (my region is Spanish) change to English (USA) and i can see the App!
