Xbox one update April 24th, 2018

hi I just logged onto my Xbox one and every time I try to play an app, the screen goes black and doesn’t ever load up the game. I think it might be doing this because of the constantly pending update that my Xbox is having but I’m not entirely sure. I don’t
know why it’s pending for so long. My internet connection is great so if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Xbox one update April 24th, 2018 sound issue

Ever since the update rolled out. I have been having sound issues. when I play a game and press the Xbox icon on the controller to check messages and see what friends on on the sound will disappear. It even happens when I watch TV using amazon prime video,
netflix, hulu. ect. I have to restart the xbox every time. I know its not my TV because I checked using my Blueray player and other game systems and they all worked fine.

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

If that fails try to see if the Network test shows any issues, if that isn't showing any issues then please try a Factory reset on the console, this can be done with keeping Games and Apps installed
