Xbox One Unmapping problem

I wouldn't recommend doing that since any warranty the controller may have will be voided if tampered by unlicensed technicians, and we shouldn't be referring to self-repair here on the forums. This wouldn't even be a controller issue, rather it's more likely an
accessories app software issue, or it simply could just be intentional or by design.

I've asked someone to look into it and just waiting for more information on this feature.

Is only a suggestion that will allow you to map further than what is on the console. Again go to Xbox ideas and post a suggestion. I will investigate this further when home and try figure out a set up for you.

I think only having a button unmapped but not mapped somewhere else and the profile not saving is something by design because essentially, that can make aspects of a game unplayable because the button you un-map may be required to play or progress and you
won't be able to if the button is no mapped to any other button.

I understand if you want to remove a button input from the controller (Right Stick) for example because I do know it can be accidentally pressed in games where the right stick is primarily the camera or look control. I re-call trying this a while ago as
a test and it did not save the profile when the only thing I did was un-map the right stick button.
