Xbox one to Xbox s transfer question

My late husbands xbox one has just died and i think i wil replace it with the new s series, his old xbox wont turn on anymore but id still like to keep all his old games and content. Is it difficult to transfer the data if the old device doesnt work? Im not sure if he had online storage set up.

The above will only work if you log in using the same Xbox account that your late husband used.

All games that was downloaded on the old console should be downloadable on the new console. Just log in on the new console, and go to my games and apps - Full Library - All owned games, then select a game and start the download. As for any games saves, they will sync back up when you start the game.

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them
