Xbox one survival mode new world!

The thing is, you can't unlock achievements if you played on creative mode or changed some world settings, even if you activated survival mode later.

You can only get "cheevos" if you begin a new world without any advantage on survival mode.

Is your world created on survival mode or creative? I am asking that because one other thing that helped me was to change the mode from one to the other before you start your game. If you started, or last saved in creative, start your game in survival mode
and vice versa if you saved or started in survival. The problem with this is that if you have been a hard core survival mode person, you will loose the ability to earn achievements when you enter creative mode, at least for that one specific world. This also
may not work, so you may be taking the chance of loosing your hard core survival world without this helping.

Are cheats on? If so that's the reason, you can only get achievements in a actuel survival world.

This also applies if you switched cheats/modes on the world at any point. If you've ever switched modes, you'll need a new world to unlock achievements.

What's everyone doing now that Creative Mode has been released then? Are you starting a new creative World, or are you editing your old worlds in creative, before playing them in survival?

It's true that switching to Creative mode disables achievements, however you may continue to earn achievements in a new Survival World. Hope this helps!
