    Xbox one suddenly crashed and now tv says no signal


    Hi all,

    I was playing Assassin's Creed when the game suddenly froze. When the Xbox didn't respond to anything, I pulled the plug out. Tried to restart it, but now my tv says no signal. Tried every tip on the support page, but nothing works.

    I think the HDMI port is broken. So I am wondering what to do next? Buy a new xbox or get it repaired? How much does a repair cost?

    I don't have warrenty on the product any more.

    problem streaming cable TV through xbox one

    I had no issues with streaming cable TV through my new xbox one (HDMI cable from cable box into xbox one), then suddenly it no longer picked up the cable TV signal. I know the cable TV signal is fine since I can re-route the HDMI through my receiver and
    pick up the TV signal fine. Is it possible that the xbox HDMI jack has failed? Or some other reason that it would suddenly stop picking up the cable TV signal?

    Hi

    I've recently been given an xbox 360 - plugged it in and the green light is on but TV says no signal. I've tried it with both the HDMI cable and the other cables but every time it says no signal on the TV. Help!!!

    there is no signal on the tv.

    The xbox starts but no signal (see my first post).

    It suddenly occurred.

    Before there were image and sound errors, not only by UHD Blu-ray!

    Xbox (may be) cause to TV’s shorting out?

    Well as of now I can’t even test anything because both the tv’s are completely dead, no tv signal or anything. And at first both tv’s worked until suddenly it would go black and try to reboot but end up failing and die out.

    This is seperate issue, xbox back up and running on different tv, however the tv tv that my xbox was plugged into at time of outage now will not recognise the xbox. Says no signal on that source

    I just started having this same issue. It had been working properly for one year. But suddenly the TV signal from my Comcast cable box began to cut in and out, and eventually just displays a blue screen (though someitmes it flashes to "Your TV signal
    was lost" then flashes back to blue).

    At first I thought it was my cable box, so I replaced that. Then I replaced the HDMI cable.

    Everything else on the XBOX works fine. And if I connect my cable box direct to my TV, it works fine. So it must be with the XBOX One itself.

    ...and my warranty expired. Great.

    4k video support

    I believe Hydro was only stating that the apps and games, as of know have a limit of 1080p. Meaning that the Xbox One itself will not generate, via an App, nor pass through a 4k signal. Hopefully this will change soon, hence voting at feedback.xbox.com
    . Having stated that any signal your TV receives it should scale it to the native screen resolution of your TV. So if the Xbox sends a 1080p signal to your TV, the TV will upconvert it to the the native 4k resolution. Now granted it is not a true 4k signal
    as it only has the 1080p signal at its base. I have a Vizio 4k TV and this is true for my Xbox and Bluray player, they only transmit a 1080p signal but the TV will upscale it to the Vizio's panel resolution of 4k.

    Hope this helps and I didn't confuse the issue further.
