    Xbox one stuck on preparing to update


    Okay, i started up my xbox one but it was updating. It stopped updating at 85% and doesn't start up. I reseted it 10 times. I went to the troubleshooting page and the offline system update is blanked out. I don't know what to do.

    XBox One S update

    My xbox one S is stuck on the update at 85% under preparing your console. I have unplugged it, turned it off and I cannot get out of the update and it will not complete the update.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated - my grandson is patiently waiting for this to be fixed.

    I have done the offline update, but when I click on the offline update option it says Preparing Console and it stays stuck at 0%.

    try to download over a VPN connection. i found this hint on a german discussion board.

    i don´t know why, but it works

    i use Windows 11 - not updated, clean-install last weekend

    See if these steps resolve this, please.

    1.Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

    2. If the problem persists>

    Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

    “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

    Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

    “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

    The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.
