Xbox one streaming away from home?

Is there any way that I can stream my xbox one onto my lap top while I am out of town for work? I will be leaving home for three months for work and was wondering if I brought my laptop could I streman my Xbox to the lap top in a different state if I had
wifi in both places. The Xbox one will still be set up with power and Internet and my laptop will have Internet as well is there any way that I could stream my gameplay onto my laptop? thanks

Music playback app?

Will the Xbox One ever get the ability to play back our own music in the backgroung for games? Not in the snap feature streaming from my laptop. It pulls away from Forza 5.

I recently just got into streaming my Xbox One through my Xbox app, and it's pretty rad. There's an all-encompassing guide for streaming your Xbox One to your Windows 10 PC through the Xbox App here:

Unfortunately you won't be able to do what you're hoping to do with streaming, though. (You can find that info in the section "System Requirements.") Much like the Smartglass app, the Xbox app can only connect to an Xbox One that is on the same network as
it. Being a full state away would certainly inhibit that.

So I figured out a solution. I reseted the mac alt address on my Xbox and that fixed the issue. I can now stream my xbox one again to my laptop while Im away from home again.

Case Closed (I'm a happy camper again!)

Make sure you load xbox hub on console and look for stream test in settings-if the streaming test is not there you won't be able to access games on your Xbox one. Try this at home for some reason I could load my games from 1st gen Xboxone but not from
xbox one s,x no option for stream test shows up
