Xbox One store claims my gift card code was used when it never worked

About a week ago, I purchased an Xbox One along with some accessories and two $15 Xbox Store gift cards. One of them worked perfectly, but the other was a different story. When redeeming one of my codes, there was an error, saying my request could not be
processed, or something like that. When I tried to enter the code again, it claimed that the code had already been used. This was incorrect, as there was only $15 on my account, not $30 as there should have been when I entered in both codes. After countless
tries of entering in both codes to see if anything worked, I eventually took a look at my transaction history, and saw that two Microsoft Account Credit prepaid cards and already been entered into my account. This is false, as credit for only one of the cards
was given to me. Is there anything I can do?

Rixty will offer Xbox Live gift cards in price points from $5 to $100, which can be redeemed on players' Xbox console or in the Windows Store on phone, PC or tablet. I have to say that I'm actually digging this. I think it's a great move by Microsoft to "sell" more XBL codes. I personally have never used a Coinstar machine since I don't want to give them my 8% or whatever they charge, but I see people using them all of the time. I can see a lot of people redeeming their change for XBL Codes. What do you guys think? Would you use a Coinstar machine for XBL codes?

Enter the codes, buy from the MS online store for £45 each. Works out at £36.75 when you do the maths.

Should cover you. One thing I'm not certain with is if "gift cards" can be used to pre-order physical goods. Might want to check with Microsoft Store support on that?

Also, when you purchased the gift card, was the code already scratched off?

Never had a problem with gift cards between different regions before. It failed when it was anything else, but gift cards seemed to work fine.

I simply purchase a gift card through Xbox, in my current currency of course, and provide the code to my friend in a different region.

Works fine and avoids lying about your region (aka breaking the terms).

I bought two gift cards from the store at the same time. One worked the other didn't. My proof of purchase shows I bought two gift cards. The manager said once the cards leave the store its no longer their responsibility. If a code dosen't work thats
the company who owns the cards problem. I tried to explain for ten minutes or so how the code did work just that the card needed to be rescaned. Xbox support is friendly and easier to talk to. They don't tell you basically you just lost $25 to your face.
And yes that was an actual response from the store when I went back in person.
