Xbox One Star Wars Battlefront 2 error 0x80040900

Whenever I try loading into match of multiplayer in Battlefront 2 the screen dims, the game thinks for 5-10 seconds, I get the error 0x80040900, and it says "Wait a full minute, then try again."

My Xbox Live Gold had expired but I renewed it while the game was running so im not sure if that's the root of the problem.

I have tried everything, waiting a full minute, quitting the game, checking my connections, reseting and hard reseting the console, unplugging the power cord for 5+ minutes, uninstalling/reinstalling, and even reseting my console to factory but saving my
games. Not doing a full factory reset unless its my absolute last option.

Even after trying all of that the problem still continues, and yes again I do have Xbox Live Gold so there shouldn't be any problems connecting to multiplayer as I can play any other game.

Any ideas for solutions would be appreciated!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention here on the forums. I understand you're getting an Error Code when trying to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 online are we talking about the Xbox One Version of the original Xbox game? Check out the Error
Code look up results of your error code and try some of the listed steps to resolve the issue.

I tried but didn't work

"after the 'soft reset" we tried the game in multiplayer mode, but I got the same message

" Wait a full minute, then try again. If you keep seeing this, turn off your Xbox by pressing and holding the power button for 10sec. Then turn it back on and try action again ( 0x80040900)

As stated by fellow XBF Esteban R, Yes, if the reset is done correctly (keep games and apps) both accounts will be fine the only thing that needs to be done is sign back in. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other matter!!

But this thing didn't work 😞

I have the SW B2 2017version.

It's new, and my xbox one console too (it's almost 2 weeks old). Everything was fine until two days ago.

When I try a network conetction test (normal, and multiplay too) it says: everything is good.

But the game says no: error 0x80040900 😞
