Xbox one smartglass issues

Hey all, I've never actually used this forum support before but I'm having serious issues connecting to my console via smartglass. I've gone through all the troubleshoot steps and been on the chat feature with a guy from Microsoft ffor an hour with
no fix. The problem seems to be that when I go on settings > preferences there is no smart glass option anymore. There used to be and my smartglass worked absolutely fine as a remote for my xbox but since the new update that's all stopped. Smartglass works
fine in every other aspect. I can sign in. See my most recent games, achievements, messages, captures etc but it cannot find my console. I've tried adding the IP address manually but it always comes back to checking settings>preferences>smartglass connections
for which I have no option for.

Anyone else having this issue? It's driving me slightly mad. Okay, very mad.

Smartglass - Xbox one not connecting

I have Smartglass app on my tablet & phone and was able to make it work with my Xbox 360 but it don't work with my Xbox one even tho it's enabled. I disabled smartglass on my 360 & it still don't work. Are there issues with smartglass with the xbox one?

It should be settings>preferences>xbox app connections

As Fairlife Milk stated, there are two different apps for smartglass. One is specific to Xbox 360, while the other is specific to Xbox One. As long as you are using the Xbox One Smartglass app it should work. They haven't had any issues recently with the
app. Hopefully this will fix your issue.

Hi @eagle94 and @toogood97. Are you seeing this issue only when viewing the clips from Xbox One SmartGlass or from the Xbox One console as well? If Xbox One SmartGlass, what specific device are you using? Thanks for the info!

I'm having the same problem, I have done everything people suggest to resolve the issue and nothing has changed.

Got an xbox one

Got an xbox one smartglass app

Xbox one is set to allow smartglass

I have tuned off the console, unplugged and everything. Redownloaded the app. Tried entering the IP address into the smartglass app.

Nothing!!

Any suggestions.
