    Xbox One Skype crashing


    No matter what I've done, Skype will crash within 10 seconds of opening when I'm signed into my profile. I've uninstalled and reinstalled after doing a hard reset. I've played with various xbox one settings, I've updated controllers, used a headset vs no
    headset. Can't get it fixed! Help!

    i have no way of chatting with friends while playing Destiny without having party chat snapped :-(

    There's an update on the Skype Community about the work from the Skype and Xbox One developers towards a fix for the Skype app problems:

    Xbox One Skype crashing

    I had this issue as well and it seems to be a beta problem. What worked for me was starting the party app before launching the Destiny beta, get everybody in the unsnap the party app and then launching the beta. Hopefully this will work for you too.

    So I was hoping that the February Xbox One update would fix Skype but it still crashes on sign in no matter what.

    I have just fixed the issue and it turns out you have to have kinect plugged in in order to use skype. see this post for more info
