    Xbox one shuts off mins after starting game


    I can use apps like Netflix with no problems but every time I start to play a game, I get about 5 mins into it and the Xbox shuts itself off. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to turn back on. Any ideas on what is going on. I have already
    changed outlets and got a new surge protector. Thanks for any help!

    Why does my Power Brick stay on?

    I have a question. everytime i turn off my xbox one my power brick still stays power'ed on, now does it shut off by itself after 5 mins of inactivity like the wireless controller or? i always end up unplugging the power brick after i turn of my xbox but i feel like that bad for it....can anyone can help me?

    Xbox bricked after update.

    Yep! My xbox turns on...... for 5 mins then shuts off. I've unplugged everything, made sure my external drive was not plugged in.. nothing is working. My xbox was perfectly fine till I turned it on and it ran that update. It rebooted like it was suppose
    too, I went one YouTube then shut off... turned it back on.. waited a couple mins, then turned off. Waited 20 mins turned it on one last time and it turned off after 10 mins. After this point I got pissed off and said **** it. Only thing I can think of is
    factory reset it if it gives me a enough time too and see if that works.. last thing I want to do. Microsoft seriously need to step up their game on updates, between console and PC. Their updates are ****.

    Lol Team kill the hell out of them back. And I mean TEAM kill. Spawn camp the little ***. He'll leave after 2 min and never play Online FPS's again. If he's still there after 2 min start talkin bout his mommy. She'll run over and shut the console off.

    I've been reading up alot on this problem with xb1x and crashing 10 mins into gameplay with no real answers besides ventilation. Mine sits on a table top horizontal with nothing even close to it, i plug it directly into the wall and the room never
    gets above 70 degrees is there any other answers? It was purchased day 1 so there is no warranty and Microsoft wants 300$ service fee but you can buy a new one for that same price. I haven't neglected my xbox in any way always cleaning the vents etc...
    Does this happen with all games and apps, or just specific ones? I've seen many reports of this happening when people are playing Borderlands 3.
