xbox one shuts off durning initial update

You do have a couple of options in relation to how you go about setting up a repair, either at a

Microsoft store near you,
submitting a service order requestyourself,
or contacting Xbox Support
directly.

So the update finished applying after a very frustrating process of sitting in front the console and turning it back on as it continuely shut off, hoping the update would remedy the problem. No such luck. Console continues to shut off. Unfortunatley even
though i barely used it, it’s out of warranty because it basically sat in my room unopened for about the 1st year, year and half.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Thank you for all the troubleshooting you have already performed. The only other thing that comes to mind would be attempting to update the console using a different network.

You may also attempt an
offline update. Although, if you still have issues after all of this, you may want to consider returning the console for a replacement if it was barely purchased.

You absolutely have to wait for the initial update to finish. Sometimes it takes a very long time, but if you power off, you run the risk of bricking it because the system wants to update, but by shutting it off you may have corrupted the update auto-command.
Like when you get those prompts to not shut off the system- same thing.

from time to time I get the durn (log off of tanks) its the WOT server that's doing it. no prob . its not you oits the world of tanks's server that's doing it
