Xbox one shuts off and power supply box while in certain games

Thanks for trying to help troubleshoot! I will try another outlet tonight. My cousins son is the only other person i know to have the same generation of xbox one as we both purchased for our kids the same christmas. His started to do this as well the
same night i started this discussion. This is now reminding me to check in to see if he is still having problems. Im certainly sick of the whining from the kids when it powers down lol

Thank you we tried the first step and it still did it. We did the reset as well and looks like our live/game pass has now expired so will have to renew that and see how that goes

I dont find that it gets excessively hot. Seems to be the same as it has always been. Its on a hard wooden surface and have moved it away in case it was an issue with ventilation. I just find it strange that it only certain games it happens with. My thoughts
were maybe those games take up more power needed than others, but im honestly not sure if thats even a thing haha

Thanks for coming to the forums. Is the Xbox an original with the power brick? Is it well ventilated? Fortnite is not one of the games to usually do this. Big ones like Red Dead 2 have done this in the past but only few instances. Also, is the console plugged
into a surge protector? May try plugging directly into a wall outlet.

I ended up buying a new xbox one s. The kids were tired if not being able to play the games they wanted to. Haha and the controller that came with it freezes. Just my luck! Im finding it impossible to file a warranty claim so we can get it replaced.

if you just bought it from a store i would return it!
