Xbox One shuts down

    Xbox One shuts down


    Hello everyone!

    I have this issue for the last couple of days. I can turn the console on and play for a few minutes but then the console shuts down and the light on the power brick goes out. I remove the power cable from the power outlet and then put it back on for the
    light on the brick to return. No blinking.

    I vacuumed the vents, power cycled the console and tried this test on the power brick https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/reset-power-supply-solution which seems to be working fine. No blinking. I wonder if this test can guarantee that the power
    brick is fine and at least exclude that.

    The issue still remains. What else could it be?

    I don't get any overheating messages or error codes. Should I try removing the plastic cover to clean it from the inside? Any ideas?

    Hey mate,

    I would try firstly giving your console a power cycle, which you can do by having the console on and sitting at the dashboard. Then from there, hold the power button down on the front of the console down for 10 seconds until the console switches off. Then
    leave it off for a minute or two, before turning it back on and trying again.

    If that doesn't work, then try removing your profile from the xbox, and re-adding it back again. That might just kick it into grear :)

    Yeah, sounds like you need a new power supply pack. You can purchase one on Amazon. They’re around $30 USD.

    I had this same issue with my X1X and it was because the fan vent was blocked by my controller's battery charger so the console was overheating.

    I haven't as I don't own another cord, though I thought that might be it, too.

    I've found a repair store that's open and will see what they have to say about the matter once they've run some diagnostic tests.
