xbox one shows no signal after startup

After nearly 3 years my xbone just died. First it freezed with the green screen of death, and then after a restart there was no signal anymore. I tried all kinds of resets and restarts but no signal. When it is on, you hear clicking sounds, so I presume
the hard disk has died. The xbone brick is not frequently used, so it shows what acrappy device it is, less then 3 years, not heavily used, and broke. Microsoft gives no support outside the US, so I have to go to the local reseller (in Europe)...There is no
proper advice on the MS websites only the usual suspects...According to othe xbone users, this will cost me at least 150 US dollars, so I will just throw the thing away!

There is a work around to this is you set the projector to turn off automatically after x minutes when there is no signal.

The only other option available is to have the xbox set to power saving instead of instant on. The ability to send the Power Off signal in this way is done through the Xbox One in Settings > Power & Startup > TV & A/V power options

Hi...update beta in April for xbox one in Italian language shows in the notifications a mistranslation, even in the sound settings and screen shows a mistranslation of some items, the largest and most serious problem is that after upgrading xbox one to change
the disc shows an error and does not read it saying it is scratched, another problem is an error message during the chat that says that the internet signal is weak when instead of doing the test signal is high

 

Ungh, that sucks. I think the UK has laws to protect consumers in events like this but you said Europe so this probably doesn’t apply to you.

By resets and restarts I’m assuming you tried a full factory reset?

 

For what you say, to me looks like a HDD damaged too. In case of repairs, need to be made in the US, that cost around those 150usd.

That is more expensive than its value so this means that the endpoint is the bin! HDD problems for xbone systems seem to become a plague reading all the fora!

 

I know, so that means that this dreadful device will end in the bin, repair costs far exceed its value
