    Xbox One shared connections issues


    Hi,

    I face an issue with my Xbox. To Donwload a huge Update I use my smartphone to share my connection.

    I cannot connect my Xbox and I have the message "Unplug the router or the modem for 30 seconds ..."

    I restarted several times the Xbox, tryed different options, always the same message...

    Can someone help me to solve this issue ?!

    Internet Connection Sharing Troubleshooter     to set up a shared internet connection on the Xbox One console.

    MTU insufficient

    You need to share the connection that is connected to the Internet and then when choosing which adapter you want to share it to, choose the one that is connected to the Xbox, not the internet.

    cant play online when using vpn through my computer?

    Shared networks will always have.mtu issues there isnt much you can do without access to the router

    Also connecting to a pc to provide internet access will.always cause mtu issues its too slow runing a non paid vpn will not provide you with a very fast speeds

    You should reduce the amount of connections

    You have to find your IP and setup ICS correctly

    Xbox Live will not connect

    Open see if you have Full Cone NAT on that router as well or are you going to notice performance issues when you are connected. This is going to cause a lot of issues if your neighbor is using a PS3 or Xbox 360 and even a Wii trying to share that same NAT.
    Me and my brother sharing a Router with a NAT that wasn't Full Cone, I turned it over to Full Cone allowing more than one DNS Connection through the Gateway.
