Xbox One Set up Help please for using an USB Microphone when using Elgato HD60S game capture?

Hi

Can anyone please advise how an USB microphone can be set up with Xbox One?

Or which USB Microphones are compatible with Xbox One (compatible devices link checked but any microphone refer to headsets)?

Or BEST Headset microphone (if using a headset is my only option)?

The microphone is needed for game, voice, part and streaming games to YouTube. One of the things they say you should have is an USB microphone i.e.: Blue Yeti (I know you can use your headset microphone but again everything I have read says that an USB
microphone sounds better).

However all posts read say that you can't connect an USB microphone to an Xbox One unless you create a separate Microsoft account and or through another device like iPhone or laptop (which the laptop will already be connected to the Elgato HD60S).

Connect your Xbox console to your PC using an Elgato HD60S+ capture card. You can do this by connecting the HDMI output from your Xbox to the HDMI input on the Elgato HD60S+ and then connecting the Elgato HD60S+ to your PC via USB.

Open the Xbox Game Bar on your PC and start a party chat with your Xbox friends.

In Streamlabs, add your Elgato HD60S+ as a video capture device by selecting "Video Capture Device" under the "Sources" tab.

Once your Elgato HD60S+ is added as a source, right-click on the source and select "Properties."

In the "Properties" menu, select "Configure Video" and make sure the "Custom" option is selected.

In the "Custom" menu, set the "Audio Input" to "Capture audio only." This will capture all audio from your Elgato HD60S+ including your Xbox party chat audio.

Start your stream in Streamlabs and your Xbox party audio should now be included.

The Xbox One does not support USB microphones. Your best bet is to use a headset for Xbox One, and if you still want to use the USB microphone, connect that to your computer.

A lot of the more serious Twitch users use capture cards like the Elgato Game Capture

This will include all video and audio.

Thaks for the replies, looking at the elgato hd60, how does it work (sorry I'm not great at this), & how would he upload to youtube. (Just trying to get it sorted in my head so i can get it set up for xmas day, thanks).

You would capture the gameplay using the capture card (Elgato HD60) saving the file on your computer.

Then go to YouTube and upload the file you created. And that's it.
