Xbox One/Series X - On Screen Keyboard overlapping Input

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We understand that the On-Screen Keyboard overlap the input field of your app. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

We would like to know few details:

1. We would like to know, are you developing an application or a game?
   
2. May we ask for a sample screenshot of the issue? Please conceal any personal information.
   
3. May we ask for the Xbox Console OS Version for both devices?

The only current available options for customizing your on screen keyboard on your Xbox One console, at this time, is the 'keyboard & dictation' input language. This merely only changes what regional dialect/keyboard lay out shows up on screen whenever the
keyboard comes up. If there's a certain layout you are looking to use... that may be the only place you'll find it. For example, my input kb&d language is set as 'English (United States)' which would be the "QWERTY" layout.

You can find it in System - Language & Location - Input - Keyboard & dictation.

It will work straight away for text input during messaging and the likes.

Every time the Xbox would show a virtual keyboard on the screen for text input, the keyboard will work.

As for games, the game has to be specifically made to support keyboards.

Not all games are able to use keyboards.

For example Fortnite and Minecraft are popular examples for games that work with an USB Keyboard and USB mouse.

Please open the on-screen keyboard:

- Go to Start > Search and click on on-screen keyboard.

- Then, please open Minecraft in window mode (not fullscreen) and see if you can play it using the on-screen keyboard.

This will let us know if this is an issue with Minecraft not recognizing keyboard inputs or if this is an issue with your particular keyboard (maybe the driver).
