    Xbox One Series X Mouse Lag Issue


    So, I got lucky enough to find a Series X AND sell my Xbox One X! Transferred all my games etc and was happily enjoying the awesome new system. A week later I now have the dreaded MOUSE LAGGING ISSUE, reported on MANY occasions, on COD Warzone AND Zombie Army 4.

    Really strange that it WORKED perfect for about a week!

    *Note: ALL 4K DETAIL OPTIONS EXCEPT 120HZ and variable refresh rate are GREEN and selectable. My Sony XBR-658G won't do 120hz.

    THE LAG IS NOT COD SPECIFIC! I reviewed a ton of videos and articles on how to fix the issue. Here's what I've done TO NO AVAIL!!!

    I've eliminated the wired/wireless mouse and "only certain mice" issue by using a wired AND wireless gaming mice. BOTH lag. Tried ALL THREE USB ports. ALL fail.

    Changed mouse (G305) DPI settings from 225-1000. Neither did changing the mouse options "in game' for either game title work.

    Still Broke.

    I went through EVERY setting in the Xbox display options and unchecked EVERY option, independently, WITH XBox reboots, to see if it fixed it. NOPE!

    AUTO HDR and DOLBY VISION, unchecked/checked independently with TV on GAME (to allegedly induce AUTO ALLM) did NOT work.

    Changing game console to 1080p from 4k made no difference.

    I've tried both wireless and wired connectivity options on a 1GB internet connection, reset router. It's NOT internet lag induced.

    Tried the NEW cable that came with Xbox along with my 'PRO" HDMI cables, connected through a Sony receiver and then straight shot to TV via ARC and Standard HDMI ports did nothing.

    Tried changing the mouse sensitivity settings via Xbox did nothing.

    I eventually went HALF NUKE (FULL would be complete reset) and reset my Xbox Series X, saving my games and files, STILL LAGGING!!

    I now have what's supposed to be the most advanced gaming system SITTING UNUSEABLE because of this issue. (That's after enduring MONTHS of COD connectivity issues while paying TOP DOLLAR FOR AN ULTIMATE PLAN!!

    Any ideas are truly appreciated. MICROSOFT! FIX THIS ISSUE!!

    There are a few things you can try to fix mouse input lag and jumpy cursor movement on your Xbox Series S:

    1. Make sure your mouse is fully charged or plugged in. A low battery can cause input lag.

    2. Check your mouse for any physical damage, such as a bent or broken USB connector.

    3. Make sure your mouse is up to date. You can check for updates in the Xbox Accessories app.

    4. Try a different USB port on your Xbox Series S to see if that resolves the issue.

    5. Make sure your Xbox Series S is not too far away from your mouse, as a weak wireless connection can cause input lag.

    6. Try adjusting the mouse pointer speed in the Xbox Accessories app.

    7. If you are using a wireless mouse, try using a wired one to see if that resolves the issue.

    Funny how I haven't had this issue on my xbox one x ever but when I go on my xbox series S then it just starts having the lag spike issues with my captures.
