    Xbox One Series X - How do I fix Network speeds that I am seeing?


    I noticed that I have inconsistent speed results from the speed test built in with goes in hand with game download speeds. I currently have Xfinity/Comcast 800mbps; my Xbox is wired. My desktop and is connected via Ethernet and get around 700mbps on speedtest.net AND I get the same results if I go to speedtest.net on the Edge app on the console.

    However, I run the Xbox network speed test in the settings and it gives me 150mbps. This is consistent with how fast my games download as well.

    Any ideas on what is going on? How can I fix this and get my speeds up to what I should expect with a 800mbps connection?

    Ok, Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

    Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

    There is definitely a problem with the speeds on Xbox like a bug in the software. I tried downloading a 4 GB update for CoD and it took 1 hour.

    The download speed would not surpass 100mbps and was at kbps consistently.

    It's not the internet because I have no issues on any other device. Even to further show that there is a bug, friends on different consoles and same ISP also have inconsistent speeds comparing to what they would expect.

    Is Xbox support available to troubleshoot what exactly is going on? Do I need to send my Xbox in? Is it hardware?
