    (Xbox one series) installing game keeps knocking out my entire wifi.


    I’m trying to install Starfield on my new Xbox series S and it’ll start installing about 2%, then kick off the wifi on every device in the house. Whenever I pause the download, the wifi worked fine for hours. I try to start the download again, and it starts happening again. This was never a problem on my Xbox one. (original) any fixes or things I can do on my console to prevent this, even if it slows download speeds?

    Hi Foeaminute, I’m Ryan.

    This unexpected behaviour has been reported a few times before.

    What ISP are you with, and what’s the specific model of your modem/router? Are you connected wirelessly, or wired with an Ethernet cable? When exactly are your other devices disconnected - when you’re playing a game, streaming content, or just randomly at any point?

    Additionally, what OS version are you currently on? Settings > System > Console info.

    This. Exactly freaking this. I'm also having this problem and have been for a month. It keeps knocking my wifi out every 30 seconds because it keeps trying and failing to not only install/update the blu ray up but the films & tv app also. I havent been
    able to use my xbox for anything for ages because a) it wont play any disc game or film, and b) it keeps disconnecting from the internet all the damn time. Awful, it's rendered my xbox useless. Error code 0x80d0000a although this turns up with nothing when
    I enter it into the error help page.

    Nevermind, my dogs knocked over our mesh WiFi system and that must’ve completely locked me out. Glad it’s not the Xbox.

    Hey, thanks for your response.

    I was wondering if that was possible.

    I do rent my router from my ISP, and I had read some other posts from others online who replaced the specific router that I have with their own.

    I think I will give that a try.
