    Xbox one screen time inaccuracy

    Hi,

I am having a problem with my xbox one with reporting hours played on my microsoft account (family).

Te problem is that when I go to check how much screen time each child has used, I find a highly excessive and impossible amount of screen time reported. For example: it shows child one played for 11 hours and 27 min on Saturday while child 2 played for 8
hours and 23 min. this is utterly impossible as they never play together and always sign out of their accounts before handing the controls off to the next child. When I noticed this I investigated all my children's activity and they are all too high. I would
like to monitor their activity, however under these circumstances it is impossible to do so.

I would appreciate any help possible. I tried chatting with a microsoft agent but they couldn't help me.

    thank you,

    Ronnie

    :)

It's been like this for a month or more. We went on holiday and no one played and it still showed 28 hours of screen time lol. We monitor it very closely and it's always been accurate up until a month ago.

I've tried every solution I could think of to fix it but nothing works.

Screen limits we set still work but the weekly reports we get aren't anywhere near accurate.

When physically disconnecting your console, please be sure to turn it off properly first.

In regards to the issue, is your console set to Instant-On or Energy safe mode?

I assume it shouldn't have any affect on this, but just to be sure, since Instant-On is more a stand by way and Energy safe mode will fully power the console off.

reset, perform a full power cycle, or physically disconnect your Xbox One console to reboot it completely and fix many common issues. This process does not erase any of your games or data.

    Hey Ronnie,

It honestly sounds like Child One isnt signing out of their account and child two is signing into their account.

It would make sense for the hours if you think about it. More then one account can be signed in at a time.

It automatically assumes child one is playing just because the account is signed in

I would double check to make sure they are signing out of their accounts before the other one signs in.
