Xbox one S won’t turn on even after switching power sources

I tried doing a hard reset and it did not work. I’ve tried restarting both router and Xbox numerous times. Any network setting I try to set manually won’t go through. The MAC address won’t restart after it’s entered. The IP addresses won’t go to the next screen after entering the Gateway IP. What is left to try?

Now my Xbox won’t turn on. I hit the button, it’s lights up and it makes the noise but immediately turns off. I had to unplug the power source for it to turn back on.

Mine too in all cases but this one, X1 sends turn on command (black fast switch like when you switch source) and then it goes to TV that is the default source. If I turn on the TV using its own remote, it uses the last source. If I turn on the blu-ray player
it switch to its HDMI input source.

It is the X1 the one not switching to its source and the only one that switchs to TV source if I set the "Turn on TV" HDMI in console options.

my controller stopped working about a month after i got xbox one. was able to turn it on but not sync. unplugged xbox from power source and worked fine after that

I plugged only the external power adaptor brick to wall power supply. The light on adaptor was Amber. Then I plugged in the output of adaptor brick to console. Then the adaptor light turned White for a while, then it was switching between amber and white for few seconds and became Amber permanently. Now, I switched on console, the adaptor light turned white, the console indicator light was also white. After 3 to 4 seconds, console switched off and adaptor light turns Amber. My TV won’t even detect the presence of Xbox hdmi input. I changed hdmi cable, tried different hdmi ports, plugged at different wall power supplies, tried multiple power cycle reset, everything that is written in supports and blogs.

Note: sometimes randomly, the console remains ON white for about 20 seconds but without display. After I disconnect power supply on power adaptor remains Amber for more than 90 seconds

After some quick research, I'm going ot assume you have a standard tv and not the Roku streaming player (the little box thing) so you would simply plug the Xbox One S into the HDMI input of the tv, select that input on the tv and turn the xbox one and
off you go ( depending on weather the tv will sit on an input source when there is no input you may have to switch to the HDMI input the Xbox is connected to when the Xbox turns on)
