    Xbox One S won’t show up on monitor, but works on another monitor


    Hello, I am having extremely frustrating issues with my new Xbox One S. When I boot it up to my monitor, there is only a black screen. Have tried everything everywhere else, it works on another monitor so I know it isn’t the console. I have tried multiple
    HDMI cables and DVI adapters (my monitor doesn’t have HDMI so I have to use an adapter), on the other monitor it works regardless of the cables and adapters, yet nothing works on my monitor. I have been adjusting display settings on the other monitor and plugging
    them in on mine and no setting has worked. I have hard reset the console countless times and tried troubleshooting mode multiple times (starting it in low res) and have gotten nothing but a black screen. My Xbox One works fine with the monitor, but not the
    S that I just got (My monitor is an Acer V226WL bd 22-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor if that helps)

    Xbox one s will not work with 4K pic monitors constant screen flickering

    I read online and more than just me are having this issue. I like to game on monitors . I have two 4K monitors and when I enable 4 k on my Xbox one s my monitors flicker and blink on and off. Why is this happening and why hasn't it been fixed ? Defeats the
    whole purpose of having an Xbox one s if you cannot use the 4K features on my 4K monitors. When will this be fixed ??????? The Xbox one s works fine with my 4K tv , but not my monitors . This needs to be resolved.

    Xbox One not showing up on Monitor

    Hey all!

    2 days ago, my Xbox One was not showing up on my monitor that I use to game. However, when I tried my Xbox 360 to see if it was a HDMI port issue, it booted up perfectly. I then tried my Xbox One on my TV, and it booted up fine. I really don't understand
    the issue going on and I have tried many troubleshooting solutions but none have worked (Cold reboot, restore, reset on monitor, etc.)

    In summary:

    TV: Both 360 and One works fine

    Monitor: 360 works fine, One does not show up

    What is the issue?

    not optimum mode recommended mode 1920x1080 60hz… how do I fix this? The monitor doesn’t allow me to change modes

    It’s a Samsung 390 series 24 inch led free sync monitor

    I’m just trying to get the Xbox to show up in the hdmi input it won’t work with the monitor and doesn’t let me switch modes

    Hi m4niboo,

    Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Monitor not receiving input from your Xbox One S. Is the Xbox One S still working with other monitors? If not, please try another monitor/television.

    If the issue persists with the problematic monitor, it could be an issue related to the monitor's HDMI input port.

    Please let us know how this goes.

    If you have tried everything the other ambassadors have said and its still showing as green on the screen.

    Have you tried connecting your XBOX up to another TV/Monitor ? If that fixed the problem, Then, It`s down to the Monitor being faulty.

    I mention this, as i recently had a 40 Inch 1080p (10 year old) TV do this same exact thing, They don't last forever. I am afraid you will have to source another monitor.

    you need a monitor that shows exactly 120hz in the edid information, if it shows 119.86 which a lot of monitors do then it will not work, there are monitors out that are designed to work with consoles now that have the exact standards.

    pc can pretty much use anything, consoles can't.

    My monitor supports 60, 75, 85, 90, 120, 144, 165, used this on my series s and 120hz works fine as 120 is exactly 120hz.

    Sorry you are having this issue.

    Do you know by any chance if the Monitor you are using supports HDCP protocol? If it does not the Xbox One will not output to it. The reason the Xbox 360 would display if the monitor lacks supports for this feature is that the Xbox 360 only turns it on while
    playing protected content (Netflix or a DVD). On the Xbox One I believe it is always on.

    That is my best guess as you said the Xbox One displays just fine on your TV.
