Xbox One S won't connect to multiplayer

So out of nowhere my xbox just stopped connecting to multiplayer. It connects to my wifi, and it passes all the tests when troubleshooting, even the multiplayer connection one, but it won't actually connect. I've tried playing GTA V, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, and Risk of Rain 2 and when I get to the multiplayer screens I'm just stuck on a loading screen until it says I can't connect. It's odd, however, because my Ps5 can connect and play multiplayer just fine. Any idea of how to fix this? Is it due to my xbox being 5 or 6 years old?

With regards to the problem, if you do have an Xbox Live Gold or Ultimate subscription then you should be able to play multiplayer games. Another factor as you why you cannot play them could be your NAT Type status.

Yes it will work for your other devices such as PS5 as what you mentioned but for Xbox if your NAT type status is not Open it could prevent you from connecting to xbox live. To fix this problem, we’ll first want to check your current NAT type. To do this:

1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

3. Under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field displays your current NAT type.

For Xbox, there is also a required port needed to be opened to fix NAT issues. If you are not sure how to configure it on your router settings, I suggest to contact your internet provider for them to open it. Here are the ports needed:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port UDP 4500 (UDP)

If you’re connected to a home network, you may need to open ports on your network hardware yourself through port forwarding.

Xbox 360's hardware won't be able to support Kinect features, multiplayer, and will have to feature less-good-looking graphics and smaller zoos/less animals.

Xbox One however since it has better hardware, WILL have Kinect, up to 4 in multiplayer, and the game just looks beautiful from Xbox One gameplay footages. Look them up on Youtube.

Zoo Tycoon is also exclusive to Xbox One so won't be on a PS console unless the game developers want to. Xbox is allowed to have exclusives just as PS has.

Xbox 360's hardware just won't be able to cope.... with all the features that will be available to Xbox One.

Same thing is happening to me my Xbox one s won't connect to my internet but will connect to a hotspot or being hard wired but still won't connect to the wireless after doing all the steps
