    XBOX ONE S - white noise instead of music, not able to play a DTS music CD,


    Hello All,

    I am trying to a play a Music CD (its a Sheryl crow disc, which says "requires a DTS-capable playback system") but get only white noise. The CD plays well on my other DVD players.

    I am using "groove" app on my xbox one S to play music CDs, all other CDs play well.

    suspect I am missing some codecs for the grove app?

    or should I be using some other app?

    Thanks farscape, I believe Xbox one s can output dts through optical (my setup is onkyo receiver with optical cable) and it works fine with blue ray app for DVDs with DTS encoding.

    But for CDs we can't use that app, so iam using groove. And my receiver outputs white noise with the dts encoded CDs.

    I am suspecting missing codecs..but not sure.

    On another note, does anyone know how to play CDs with the latest kody on Xbox?. I have downloaded but can't figure out how to play the disc on xbox.. (kody recognizes the disc drive on xbox?)

    DTS audio CD's are not easily read by most players. I keep an old DVD player around just for some of my DTS cds.
