Xbox one S vs Kinect

We kept have a power failure on our original Xbox one. I contacted Microsoft Xbox support and was instructed to seek a replacement from my local retailer. I arrived at the retailer and was told “ to replace the power adapter the cost would be $60 or, for
additional $60 I could trade in my old console for a new Xbox one S”. I code the upgrade option. Just made more sense to me.

So I thought, I get home to learn I can’t connect Xbox one S to my Kinect anymore. That’s right I need an adapter. Looking online and learning Microsoft doesn’t have the part, normally $40 is now retailing for $200 and up.

I’d like to thank Microsoft for encouraging me to spend an extra $100 for the Kinect and some games just to discontinue the Kinect, adaptor and not offering me any compensation for my products for use in a newly purchased xbxox one S.

How about a couple hundred dollars in Microsoft bucks towards new games? How about a couple years of Xbox live gold? How about finding me an adapter so I can use the product I was encouraged to spend extra money at the Microsoft store to purchase. How about
acknowledging there was a mistake on Microsoft’s part?

Lastly, the customer service representative Brandon was as understanding as one could be, more informations and latitude should be given to him to help the consumer under these circumstances.

Overall, this is a bad job on Microsoft’s part. Please fix this issue. It not only unfair to the consumer, it’s unethical.
