Xbox one S unable to load ANY games! Help! Tried EVERYTHING!!

Hey there everyone. Hoping and praying someone can help me with this one as my xbox one S is unable to load ANYTHING.

Ok so just a couple of background things. First, I suck with computers and xbox’s. I work as a chef by trade and barely touch them in my day to day life (besides playing on the xbox its self).

With that out the way, from the start, so up until a week ago i had no issues with my xbox what-so-ever. Then i attempted to download Apex Legends, and due to to the size of the file and my xbox auto turning off after an hour, the xbox closed down. After turning back on the file had some trouble downloading, but eventually did. When I went to open it for the first time thats when the chaos started, not only would it not start, every game i have or have since downloaded either slows to a ridiculous rate when entering the game or doesnt get past the title screen (comes up with a error message and the code 0x8027025a). Now here is where I am at my wits end, as i will list off what i have done in an attempt to get my xbox working again (i know some of these might seem dumb, but such is my struggle to try everything to fix).

-turned xbox off and on again

-did full reset

-deleted games and reloaded them

-attempted to load game I own (on disk)

-deleted fully apex legends

-cleared MAC address

-cleared all local saved games and cleaned out internal storage

-used different sign in

-changed the region on the xbox

-and finally, bit the bullet and did a full factory reset and removed everything off the xbox

I was led to believe that the last point should fix the problem, but here i am, after all of that unable to load any games, either on disk or downloaded...

One last thing though, after the reset i noticed that Apex Legends was still in my library under “all owned games”. Since it was that game that was the cataylst for all these problems, is it possible that could be causing an issue?

I can’t think of anything else to do other than take it out into the field... any help that could be offered would be great. Thank you in advance.

Hi MrBraaaaaaa.

After you did a full factory reset and removed everything, did you use your main account to set the xbox back up again?

Did the set up complete and go to the Sign in screen and/or Home screen? If it did, the reason for slow loads or the error code 0x8027025a may have been caused by the console downloading the games and apps associated with your account. The size of these downloads would take up bandwidth of your network connection and processing power of the console. If you try and start a game while the downloads are occurring you put extra demand on the console CPU which effectively slows everything while it juggles the demand. Error code 0x8027025a has more info that may assist.

If the set up did not complete, did the console display any other error codes, eg E??? or 0x8???????. and display the troubleshooting screen? Troubleshoot startup errors may assist you.

Hi there Houmaidi,

While I really appreciate the reply and information contained within it, you are out of your mind if you think I’m going to pay that kind of money for a repair. For a little more I could buy a new console (which if I do I can assure you it won’t be an Xbox I buy next time).

Surely there must be a reason for this, and something that I can do on my end to repair. Is there anything further that could be done to assist?

I have an issue also regarding not starting.

Game loads and ask to accept or deny cookies. After accepting cookies the game page start to load, but get stucked there. Can´t start Mahjong either.

Have tried everything that is suggested in any support page, but it´s broken.
