Xbox One S unable to Factory Reset or Update

I have an Xbox One S that I purchased new a few years ago. Living in Florida, a lightning storm knocked the power out while it was performing an update. Since that time, the Xbox would only go to the green Xbox One screen on startup and no further. We moved
and the Xbox was packed away. I recently retrieved it and have been working to repair it.

I completed numerous power cycles, they did not fix the issue.

I attempted to Offline Update via USB but was unsuccessful. The update installed completely but during verification it cut off at 4% saying "Something went wrong" and provided an E102 error code.

I attempted to Factory Reset but retain the games and the system froze at 62% for 30minutes. It then provided a "Something went wrong" and an E203 error code.

I attempted to Factory Reset with a complete wipe but it also froze at the 62% and provided the same error.

From what it seems my only option is to pay $180.00 USD to see if there is a possibility of repair or be provided a refurbished device. This seems ludicrous when I have already paid $400.00 for the device and it appears to be a well documented issue with
system updates. Is my only option to pay half the price of the device for a repair?

I have attempted with both OSU1 and OSU2, as well as each separately and none were successful. With both, the update barely initiated before providing and E101 error and sending me back to the troubleshooting screen.

Did you try the OSU2 file or only OSU1?

You may need the OSU2 file if the build number of the OS requires it to complete offline update.

The system was always run via WiFi. It was not wired when attempting the offline update.

The issue is the update did not complete. It installed and then gave an error code at 4% of verifying the update. It will not complete the update and thus will not restart or take me to the home screen.

If you are using a wired ethernet cable, When you did the OSU was the console disconnected from your network gateway?

If you were using a wired connection, plug your network cable back into the console AFTER the OSU is complete.

Plug the USB flash drive with the offline system update files into a USB port on your Xbox One console. When the flash drive is inserted, the
Offline system update option on the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter becomes active. Use the
D-pad and
A button on your controller to select
Offline system update to initiate the update using the files saved on your flash drive.

When the update is complete, the console will restart and you should be returned to the Home screen.

Note The console restart may take several minutes. If you were using a wired connection, plug your network cable back into the console. If you have never connected your console to the Internet, you will need to connect
at least once during your system setup process.
