Xbox one s turns on and then off after 30ish second

Hi all,

First post here. I have searched but haven’t really been able to find any resolutions so thought I’d create my own post.

So a few night ago my Xbox one s was making some strange noises, almost sounded crackly and then the other night I went to turn it on and the Xbox button dimmed immediately (not sure if it’s always don’t this or not) the tv didn’t recognise anything connected to a HDMI port so I fiddled around slightly to make sure all was good, which it was, and then it turned off shortly after. I have tried multiple times and still the same.

The eject button still works as I’ve removed my disc. I have removed the covers and cleaned out the dust even though it was fairly clear. I have seen comments about using a hair dryer but that sounded odd.

Anyone have an idea??

I have tried unplugging it for 10 seconds and then back in and turning on but still no HDMI recognition and it turns off after 30 ish seconds.

I tried the pair button and eject button option but I didn’t get the 2 power up tones.

How do I perform a reset when I am not able to see the screen?

I appreciate you checking everything and I also apologize because in this case, seems like we have performed all the necessary steps and the next option will be getting it repaired. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices then add your console as a device using its serial number or if it's already added simply click "show details", you will be able to check the warranty as well as create an order from there.

That will be the only way but let's check. If I may ask, are you seeing black screen or "no signal"?
