Xbox one s to Xbox one s transfer, no game saves or dlc on new one

I transferred my old Xbox one S, using a external hard drive, to a new Xbox one S, as the disk drive on the first one packed in, it is worth noting that there was pleanty of storage on the external drive, however non of my save games or any of my dlc for my games has transferred to the new Xbox, any help would be appreciated

Depends .

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them

Xbox X/S, it’s a disk version, I think I will have to buy the Xbox one version. Will I be able to transfer the save from the Xbox X/S version to the Xbox One version?
