Discus and support Xbox One S sound will not play through soundbar in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a newer LG TV that I have connected through a LG SJ9 soundbar.     Xbox One S sound will not play through soundbar


    I have a newer LG TV that I have connected through a LG SJ9 soundbar. I have the soundbar connected to HDMI 2(ARC) on my TV. I also have my AT&T cable box connected to HDMI 1 on my TV. I have my Xbox One S connected to HDMI 1 on my soundbar. My issue
    is that the sound from my Xbox will not come through the soundbar, only the TV speakers. I have to switch my soundbar to HDMI 1 to see and hear my Xbox through my TV. What am I doing wrong? I would like the sound from my Xbox to come through my soundbar. If
    I switch the audio on my TV to ARC instead of Internal speakers I lose the audio and video feed from my Xbox. Suggestions please.........

    I would think so but i haven’t tried it yet. I just don’t get why a video would show connecting an Xbox to the soundbar and it not working for me. Was hoping to receive more responses especially from someone who has connected their Xbox that way. Thanks

    Hi you tried go in Settings > System > Video & Sound and checked if the Configuration is Ok? Try Change the HDMI Cable and HDMI port on you TV

    Thanks, was thinking of doing that but watched a video on YouTube and they connected the Xbox to the soundbar.

    Yes, i watched a YouTube video and they connected the Xbox directly to the soundbar. It also showed the what audio settings you should have on the Xbox.
