    Xbox one s says "preparing console" then going to something went wrong screen


    Ive had many issues with my xbox but this one is the one i need to fix in order to fix the others. I turned on my xbox and did the low resolution mode and it put me on the "something went wrong" screen, so i pressed "turn off this xbox" then that didn't work so i tried again but i pressed "restart this xbox" but that didn't work either. So i tried again and pressed"restart this xbox restore factory defaults" and "keep games and apps". So the xbox turns off so i turn it back on again, this time it shows the preparing your console, it gets to around 14% then it goes back to the "something went wrong" screen with the xbox light on the console flashing quickly for a second. The only two options are to update with a usb drive, but i dont think i have one, and to factory reset it all together and loose everything l, which i dont want.

    I dont know what to do after that, so i would really like some help on this.

    Have tried it and still won't load. It gets to the preparing console screen then comes up with something went wrong

    Well it was about to prepare update screen and in a split second went back to “Something went wrong” and I press continue. It show restart, reset, turn off and xbox offline update option menu screen. I press “xbox offline update”(usb is connect to Xbox
    one) start update but went back something went wrong

    Unfortunately I have tried this to no help, as soon as I boot up the console it goes straight to the preparing console screen and then when it tries the software update it says something went wrong. I'll have to look further into it but thank you for replying!

    Xbox stuck on boot up

    When going through a factory reset (i chose to wipe all content) the console would do a restart power cycle which will take 10-20 minutes of no signal then black screen then it'll say preparing, which then brings up another "something went wrong" page.

    I have made 5 attempts to restart the console to factory and each time I'm stuck.
