Xbox one S restarts Xbox one X

I have an Xbox one X and my wife has an Xbox one S. Both are in the living room hooked up to seperate TV's. When she restarts or shuts off her Xbox one S, it will shut down my one X, too. This is very annoying and we can't figure out why it's doing it. Controllers have never been paired with the others Xbox. Never have issues with one controller controlling the other console.

Anyone have any ideas on this? If you need more info, I'll try to answer them as soon as possible.

Just restart your xbox. Also what system are you on xbox S? xbox one xbox x etc

I have an Xbox One X downstairs and my One S Is upstairs as a media player. Every now and then if I shut off the X and go upstairs and turn on the S it won't quite grab on to live without a restart. As others said, just a restart, odds are good you are
okay.

Xbox one isn't xbox one s or x compatible they are all compatible it's only the x that has some enhancements but generally the game will download on any xbox one

Series x is just xbox series s or x

I'm not 100 percent certain. It's very possible, as I believe all the outlets in our living room are on the same circuit. It doens't affect anything else though. She does have her Xbox set up to turn the TV on and off with the console, as that's all we use that TV for. Is it possible that may be the issue?

If your using a power board for all the devices, move each of the consoles onto a separate wall socket. You might want to change your wife's setup to not turning her TV on/off to check that aspect of the issue.
