Xbox one s problem

Hello

I bought an Xbox one S in January....this year... I installed everything and all was well. Until the xbox indicated that it needed an update....i didn't update it and i kept on getting installation error notifications...then after some time, the xbox started
freezing during games..... Then it got worse....then the start up became very slow and now i cant even go to Home.... The xbox is freezing.

Please help.... I love my xbox one s

Same problem here. Xbox one S. My black xbox one signs in just fine. Gone through networking troubleshooting, and everything points to the XB one S.

 

power saving mode boot question

Microsoft rep had me plug directly in the wall and the system boots normal. I previously had the Xbox One S plug into the monster surge protector strip with my TV. That was the problem. Microsoft rep told me that the Xbox Box One S has a built in surge protector.
I going to use the Xbox One S today and if the problem does not return I will keep the Xbox One S. The Microsoft rep told me to exchange if the problem does return. Thank you for the help.

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

if that doesn't fix the issue trying a Factory Reset is the thing to try via the steps here:

If you can't browse the Settings try these steps

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons
   for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
4. This should show a menu with the option to factory reset the console, if it does not please try the steps again

It didn't work..... I followed all the steps....and it just doesn't show the factory reset options.....it is freezing on start up......it is very slow.

 

Hello Night I would try an offline update to see if you can get it reset that way. Just select need to reset my console offline and follow
the steps.
